ProducersRumor has it that it was a serendipity event that got the first pool of new Swedish music producers starting. Apparently, the evening newspaper Aftonbladet had arranged for an interview with twelve Swedish DJs. The reporter was late (in the end never showed up). The DJs started to talk among themselves. Some of them new of eachother, but never talked before. An outcome of this meeting was the creation of the record label Swemix. Among those involved were Dr Alban, Stonebridge, Max Martin, and legendary producer Denniz Pop. The label focused on doing remixes for DJs to use when they played in clubs. The remixers' skills developed into songwriting and full music productions. After this first modern wave, other follwed including Bloodshy and Avant, Douglas Carr, Andreas Carlsson, and Remi. About 20 young songwriters / producers are now producing music for international top pop artists. There are even more Swedes on the edge of reaching this international elite producer level. Within the music genre electronica, the Swedish producers are also doing well. Sweden has brought you DJ producers such as Adam Beyer, Alexi Delano, Cari Lekebush, Mad Mats, Joel Müll, Erik Prydzs, and Stonebridge. Embee is the most internationally known Swedish producer in the Hip Hop genre.
